EMBARKING,
... ME???
Yes, of course, I’m still embarking, and I
hope never to reach a “safe harbor.” When people
get
there, they stop living; they stop enjoying the wonders
that surround us: those colorful sunsets; the joy that life
is; those little victories; the sadness and the nostalgia;
those winds, some trapped and some others released,
that help us sail through life.
I am lucky to sail with the wind on my back,
since I have a crew that makes me certain that the search
for a “safe harbor” will be utterly joyful. On one
hand,
I have my family, which provides me with love and care;
on the other, I have my teachers, who offer me guidance
and knowledge, in addition to the company and thrust
that my friends and fellow artists supply.

I
shall keep on embarking. Certainly, not painting sea scenes
or barks, but without any doubt, searching, with ever increasing
strength and enthusiasm, for that “safe harbor”.
Searching for those winds not taken advantage of. Searching
for those colors yet unfound.
Searching for those brush strokes not achieved. Searching for
those canvases and papers that will welcome my joys, my sadness,
my longings.
